Marcus Hawkins is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles on conservative politics for over four years. Marcus has been politically active since he was a teenager. He has worked on local campaigns, including races for mayor and state senate, as well as national campaigns such as George W. Bush's 2004 reelection effort. 

In 2005, Marcus became a political reporter and writer for Townhall.com. He also made guest appearances on local conservative talk radio shows across the country. Over the years, Marcus has created numerous topic-specific websites promoting conservative issues and candidates.

Hawkins earned a B.A. in Political Science with a focus on Middle Eastern studies at Florida Atlantic University.
