The Sarah Palin You Never Knew

Thursday January 8, 2009
An image from John Ziegler's interview with Sarah Palin.

Amazing.

I simply had to shake my head. There was nothing else I could do.

I just finished watching excerpts from the upcoming documentary Media Malpractice, which is being put together by producer John Ziegler.

Ziegler interviewed self-proclaimed informed and intelligent Barack Obama voters, and asked a dozen of them a series of questions on camera. While not a single one of them could identify Nancy Pelosi or even say which party controlled Congress, every one of them knew which of the four candidates had a pregnant teenage daughter and which candidate's political party spent $150,000 on clothing. When asked which candidate said they had campaigned in 57 states, every single one of them attributed the comment to either Arizona Sen. John McCain or Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (it was actually Obama).

An image from John Ziegler's site, Unfortunately, the interviews were conducted after the voters had cast their ballots, but that really doesn't matter, because after embarrassing themselves for several minutes by answering wrong or claiming ignorance, one of those interviewed summed up the 2008 election by saying, "Ithink I'm not as informed as I thought I was ... but I still don't think I would change my vote."

Think it was slanted? Think again. Ziegler authorized a poll of more than 500 similar voters and the results were amazingly close to the ones captured on camera. It's all in the documentary.

The best part of the clips I've seen, however, is the extended and quite revealing interview with Palin conducted just this week. She says that after the first day with CBS news anchor Katie Couric, Palin knew that it didn't go well and that Couric was trying to do what journalists call a "hit piece." But when she suggested to the campaign that they not send her "back for more," McCain's advisers told her to finish the three-day interview with Couric.

Palin and Ziegler In another part of the interview, Palin says she plans to pay close attention to how the media treats Caroline Kennedy as the vetting process begins for Hillary Clinton's open Senate seat. If Kennedy is treated with kid gloves, Palin says it may show that the media isn't just guilty of political bias, but class bias as well.

Had the media seen the insightful, thoughtful and, frankly, intelligent woman Palin really is -- and which many conservatives know her to be -- instead of the woman the media elite worked so hard to portray, it is still unlikely (in my opinion) that McCain would have won the election ... but at least Palin's reputation wouldn't be where it is with so many Americans.

I highly recommend anyone and everyone -- especially Obama voters -- visit the web site, HowObamaGotElected.com, to learn just how misinformed Obama voters were when they pulled the lever for their candidate.

I would like to know how unbiased this documentary was in its making . . . I could interview 3000 people, ask them what color the White House is. Let’s say that 2800 people answered that it is white and 200 said purple. I could air the 200 “purple” interviews and claim that Americans are color blind. Watch! You’ll see in my video that 200 Americans said the White House is purple. So, can the documentor tell us how many people he interviewed and if he showed each and every interview???? Or were they screened and selected to indicate a certain outcome?????? Believe me, I believe there are uninformed voters ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FENCE.

This very subject is brought up and addressed if you watch the video of Ziegler on “Hannity & Colmes” at FOX News. Colmes asks Ziegler this very question. But good news! You don’t have to search FOX’s archives! Just go to HowObamaGotElected.com, and watch the video at the bottom of the page!

I couldn’t understand how you could point to the Democrats as the deceivers in this and the past two elections. It’s been the Republican “strategists” who sought to recruit the “Real America” (meaning less-than-average America) with stances suggesting there is nothing to Science and that mythology guarantees prosperity under… corporate management. It’s been Republican “operatives” who’ve spread the slanders against Barak Obama.

As for the media being biased against poor, innocent McCain and Palin: you already know that the voters saw through that desperate charade. Selecting a former beauty queen who manages a state which resembles the local “dry goods emporium” for VP was a transparently silly panic move. You continue yapping constantly about “family values” and “Christian morality” – while ignoring that Gov. Palin’s husband is a secessionist and her daughter is an unwed mother – is the height of hypocrisy.

If the Republicans – ever – want to get anywhere near where they were, they’ve got a ton of reflection and reform to do. Pretending the setback (of historic proportions) is just due to “misleading press” isn’t even remotely believable. You could start by joining the move to get Bush and Cheney indicted for their violations of office and the Constitution. But… I doubt any conservative will drop their elitist arrogance long enough to do that. Instead you’ll continue acting as if it’s all someone else’s fault. Own up and quit pretending you have no idea what I’m talking about. Then, maybe, people will start listening to you.

This “documentary” is going to be perfect fodder for the comedic community. “He’s He’s an Arab.” They want to turn the White House into a pyramid. Put this interview in that file.
PLEASE are you calling a large portion of this country ignorant. That we were all fooled and missed our chance to elect this ridiculous woman. Well on the other hand we did have George for the last eight years.
GO HOME SARAH! The Republican contenders in 2012 will eat you for lunch.

Americans are cruel downgrading Palin and her family. People can be so dirty bringing down people when they are trying to do what’s right, and I have to say there are more people that are behind Sarah Palin and what she can do for our Country.
We are so lucky to have her as an American and being Gov. in Alaska. Hopefully Palin will be running for something other than Gov. We need more people to follow in her footsteps.
I am proud that we have her on our Side here in our Country. Sarah, you have more people behind you, beside you in running for President in the near future. You just keep up the way you have and help our country.

The GOP set Palin up as the “barracuda”. The Dem slayer, destroyer of Liberals. And, when the Liberals and the media (and let’s be honest about it – a lot of conservatives.) went after her – she buckled under the pressure. And, now she’s whining about it!

Classic.

Palin was not ready for the adult swim.
She probably never will be at this rate…

Let me ask, is Kennedy being treated the same way. Is there anyone Hanging her with a noose. Umm No. Lets just realize the injustice here, not for repubs but more for any woment with a opinion. I garentee if Obama was Rep, he would never had won the election.

Caroline – Once again the left shows how retarded they are. If you viewed the web-site, you will see the sampling size and margin or error in the poll. But would I expect any one who was stupid enough to vote for Obama to even know what sampling error meant in poll taking. Duh!
