Wordless Wednesday: Here Comes Santa Claus

Wednesday December 24, 2008

The legend of Santa Claus has endured many centuries and taken many forms through the years.

At the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Mich., those legends are taught and the traditions are handed down to aspiring Santas of all ages. The school, one of the only of its kind in the US, is becoming as legendary as the holiday itself, as the school conducted its 71st year of classes earlier this year.

Student Santas, like John Siebler of Fort White, Fla. (above), gather from around the world to share their common love of Christmas and to help celebrate the magical spirit of Santa Claus. Santa students share their stories, learn common traditions, and adopt the values taught at the school from its very beginning.
