Paleo Perspectives
Palecons take a non-interventionist approach to foreign policy, and therefore have had strong opinions regarding immigration.

“Although the paleos were united and vocal in their opposition to illegal immigration and further immigration in general, because of their lack of strong media resources, they could never really make the issue their own,” Gottfried said. “The French have a word “resquilleur,” [which means] someone who crashes an event without going through the turnstile. That is the only way we might be able to enter the political conversation, except perhaps by building our own televised forums of discussion with megabucks.”

It might sound strange coming from the man who, quite literally has written the book on paleoconservatism in America, but Gottfried said he’s planning to vote for Barack Obama if he wins the nomination.

“I think he’s terrible,” Gottfried said. “I’m just hoping he’ll be so bad and create such a financial crisis, that he’ll actually push this country back to the right.”

A paleocon can only hope.
