The Real Clear Politics poll average shows Barack Obama with a slim 4-point lead over Mitt Romney in the state of Michigan. The most recent poll, by Democratic firm FMWB, pointed to a 47-47% tie as of October 24th. This is a bit of a shocker given the lack of campaigning by either side and Obama's healthy 16-point win in 2008. What role can the state's lack of early voting and enthusiasm play?
