With so many stories about Romney's potential Vice-Presidential pick, we have some questions of our own.
Romney does some fundraising with Bobby Jindal, suddenly making him a final three choice. First Indian-American on a major ticket?
Portman has been the most frequently talked about candidate. He comes from must-win Ohio, but he was also George W Bush's Budget Director for two years. What could go wrong?
Tim Pawlenty was weak-kneed against Romney in the debates, but Biden has to be easier pickings. Ron Paul said Condi Rice would be a no-go for his base. Is Pawlenty the acceptable option?
Paul Ryan gave Romney a push in Wisconsin earlier during the primary season. The two looked comfortable and natural together. But if Romney wants to have the best hair on the ticket, he might look elsewhere. Wisconsin is a new swing state for 2012, however.
Was Dr. Rice a serious consideration? She remained noticeably quiet - "on vacation" - after the Drudge announcement. Or was it just a little trick?
Or were all of these people a ruse to get the attention off of this guy:
Ever since the mini-uproar over Marco Rubio allegedly not being vetted for VP, Rubio has fallen off that radar. Campaign appearances all but disappeared and as other names were leaked, Rubio suddenly was missing from much of the chatter. It could be a coincidence, but it could also be an intentional move to prep Rubio for his entrance onto the national stage.
