Wordless Wednesday: Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich Attempts to Sell Senate Seat

Wednesday December 10, 2008
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich

Pennsylvania State Rep. Katie True once told me, "I never do anything that I'd be ashamed of seeing on the front page of the newspaper."

That's why I voted for her.

If you're not up to speed, Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taped saying some not-so-newspaper-friendly things about selling the "valuable" seat once held by incoming-President Barack Obama. Needless to say, he failed miserably. I think someone offered him $15 and a gallon of ripple wine. He was close to ironing out a deal when the feds caught up with him.

*SIGH*

If more politicians took True's attitude, this story might not be seem so commonplace. Corruption seems to be part of the job description for our politicians these days, whether they're liberal or conservative. Let's hope Barack Obama truly does change the climate in Washington. He might start by bringing his former presidential rival, Arizona Sen. John McCain, on board to lead a Senate investigation into corrupt Washington politicians. Start at the top and work your way down.

What a disgrace to the State of Chicago and to Democrats. This moron should resign regardless of what the process is… the wire tap recordings alone make him unfit for office.

He also needs a new hair stylist… this isn’t the 80s anymore!
