Immigration and Education Under Barack Obama
With Barack Obama's administration set to take the reigns of governmental power next month, conservatives will be standing anxiously by like a worried parent, hoping for the best, but fearing the worst.
This week, we examine what conservatives fear will come of immigration and education under an Obama administration. In answering the questions "What do conservatives think about" these two issues, we offer some suggestions that the president-elect might consider as he formulates his polices for these issues. While Obama's stated positions drew considerable heat from conservatives during the presidential campaign, it's not too late for him to prove his willingness to cross the aisle and consider alternative viewpoints. Conservatives cannot help but be heartened by the overtures he has made so far in compiling his cabinet.
Although conservatives are fearful of the liberal agenda upon which the president-elect campaigned, if he continues to give his critics his ear, as he has done so far, he will be proving to the world that he is willing to at least entertain the idea of post-partisanship as the nation enters this all-important period of transition.
