ACORN: Obama’s List of Questionable Associations Grows

First, there was Jeremiah Wright, and the Left dismissed the assocation after Barack Obama gave a speech on racism.
Then, there was the revelation that one of his top advisers was the former CEO of Fannie Mae, and the Left dismissed the assocation after Obama gave a speech condemning Fannie Mae’s actions.
Recently, it was discovered that one of Obama’s initial confidantes was unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers; the Left dismissed the association because Obama gave a speech saying Ayers was “just a guy in the neighborhood.”
Now we learn that Barack Obama was the executive director of the voter registration arm of the Chicago branch of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN), which is currently being accused of perpetrating one of the largest and most far-reaching enterprises of voter fraud in US history. Last year, the group settled the largest case of voter fraud in Washington state history, and this week, its offices in Nevada and Ohio were raided. Other voter fraud investigations are underway in Wisconsin, Indiana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Missouri . Investigators believe there could be hundreds of thousands of registration irregularities. This is significant when you consider that the difference between George W. Bush’s win and Al Gore’s loss in 2000 depended on a mere 400,000 votes.
And these allegedly fraudulent registrations are just the ones investigators know about. ACORN has offices in 42 of the nation’s 50 states.
It’s no secret that the group leans hard to the left and the allegedly falsified registrations mostly favor Democrats. It’s also no secret that ACORN’s political action committee has endorsed Obama for president. Its secret appears to be that the supposedly “non-partisan” group was attempting to steal the election for Obama.
What is not well known is Obama’s extensive work with and for ACORN. Before he went to law school, Obama was a community organizer directly under the supervision of ACORN. From 1992 to 2004, Obama worked with or was affiliated in some way with ACORN leaders. At various times he was the executive director of the voter registration program, a leadership trainer and an attorney. He successfully represented the organization in a motor-voter case and in exchange, the group lead efforts to get him elected to the state Senate in 1996. In each of his subsequent bids for various offices, ACORN was involved.
Obama hasn’t given a speech yet on ACORN’s alleged actions. He’s still busy dealing with his political ties to Ayers. It appears Obama’s questionable associations are piling up faster than he can shrug them off.
The ACORN affiliation is going to be a tough nut for Obama to crack, though. His political career is greatly intertwined with the organization and his connections to it are going to be tough to hide. What’s worse is that he may have more than just a connection to the group.
He may actually owe them a few favors.

Even if the worst of your suspicions proved true about Obama and ACORN, I seriously doubt anyone is going to care at this point in the election.
This Ayers business was in and out of the news like 6 months ago… I don’t think their bark will be very effective up that tree, expecially in light of the fact that McCain/Palin have several questionable associations themselves that are much more solidly tied to them. I think their attacks are going to backfire even before election day.
As a contributor to a website like About I would think that you would at least stick to proven fact rather than follow the Fox News Republican party smear campaign. What court case do you cite? What “proven” fact do you cite? The answer is of course none. This is all part of the Karl Rove, Rick Davis “lets lie” they won’t check Republican campaign style. I guess it shows the fear in the Republican party. They can’t compete on policy and truth so they come up with lies and smear. Odd that they contend they are Christians, I didn’t notice the part in the Bible that says “bearing false witness” was ok.
My parents taught me that a person is known by the company they keep. Barry’s quesionable associations keep popping up. It’s all about his character and judgment (he’s got none). You can go back to his pastor and the Black Liberation Theology (and you think is post racial?) I can go on and on and on (Ayers, Rezco, Acorn, Ferakon and more, more, more).
It’s like puzzle pieces put together to make one final picture. The picture looks like this:
Socialistic idiology, redistribution of wealth, anti capitalism etc. It doesn’t take a master mind to figure this man out. His lifelong goal hasn’t been to help others. It has been to run for the White House. He’s gotten this far for one reason and it’s because he is black. And in actuality is isn’t black he is mulatto. Would I vote for a black person? Would I vote for a mullato? Yes, if the person’s vision for America coincided with mine (I don’t care if a person is purple). In this case, Obama stands for nothing I believe in. How can I vote for someone who voted for cutting off funds for our soldiers? How can I vote for someone who is not interested in protecting babies that survive botched abortions? How can I vote for someone who is the most liberal politician in Washington? How can I vote for someone who claims he is bipartisan but has voted along democratic party lines 97% of the time? How can I vote for someone who voted in favor of habeas corpus rights to detainees at Guantanamo Bay? Obama sends his children to a private school but yet he opposed a $500 income tax credit for parents who send their children to private schools. He consistently votes in favor of higher taxes. What about our national security? He opposed strengthening the ability of the federal government to monitor terrorist communications. Will I feel safe with Obama? No!! Khadafy, Chavez, and Iran are pulling for this man? Red flag! Red flag!! Red flag! Barak Obama is the great pretender. His nickname should be chameleon because he changes colors with every issue. Obama also states that he sees beyond color. He gives the appearance that he is a “post racial” politician. More smoke screen! He has made a career of promoting the interests of the black urban community. Is this wrong? It wouldn’t be except that he has used it for his own political agenda—to get himself in power. He was a community organizer and a mediocre one at that. What great things did he accomplish in this area? Acorn? Acorn claims to be non-partisan but we all know that they are leftist organization that leans to getting votes for democratics—mainly Obama. A vote for Obama will be nothing but an reincarnation of Jimmy Carter but worse. When Carter left office he left us with double digit interest rates and a heavy duty sense of entitlement in the minds of many people. Let us not forget the era of Jimmy Carter!!
WE DON’T NEED A ROCK STAR!! We need someone we can trust and that’s why I am voting for McCain Palin. At least these two are not ashamed of wearing flag pins and they would never associate with people who would stand on our precious flag!!!
